My story

I’ve been helping people achieve their personal and professional goals since 2008.

I started my career advising college students; helping them overcome challenges so they could graduate and launch their careers. I loved the work and it felt like my calling. Within a few years I was managing a team of advisors, building new academic programs, and responsible for the success of thousands of students.

Eventually I realized that opening a coaching practice was more aligned with my personal and professional values, so I decided to pivot in my career. I hired a coach to help me create clear goals, prepare for the transition, and make the leap. Since then I’ve had the honor of helping hundreds of people change their careers, pursue creative projects, start businesses, publish their work, and more.

Because I like a challenge and am a creative person, I’m also the founder a candle company. It was born out of the idea that when we’re grateful, we feel better. It’s called Grateful Daily and currently offers delightfully scented soy candles and accessories.

Education

I earned my bachelor’s degree from the University of California Irvine where I majored in Sociology and minored in Gender & Sexuality Studies and African-American Studies. During this time I also received certificates in Planning & Human Services and Diversity.

For my master’s degree I studied Justice and the intersection of media, technology, and culture. I wrote my thesis on social media as a tool for self expression and agency for young marginalized girls in Los Angeles.

I completed my first coach training in 2013 and follow the Co-Active Coaching Model, which means I use self-awareness, communication, and action as tools to create clarity, connection, fulfillment, and success.
